Hi Cathy, this was a wonderful insight into your creative process. In your experience of creating design systems/language, are they usually a bi-product of an application or are they something you create in advance of the application, designing the app to adhere to the rules of the design system?

I’ve found over the years that my attempts at building a design system ahead of the creation of the app itself often leads me to go back to the system to make small adjustments as designing the system ahead of time doesn’t always provide the context that the app unearths.
