A lot of the comments reference the affordance of the check icon and how this distinguishes the “selected” state so the user doesn’t have to rely on colour alone – and rightly so.

However, we can actually combine this depiction in with the toggle token and present the check icon to the left of the label within the selected toggle token.

Also, claiming that the checkbox select area is small is also false as the correct practise from an accessibility point is to also make the label a selectable element.
